Truth Baptist Church was started in North Texas on Sept 23, 2020 by a small group of Bible believing Christians who want a good church.
We are an Independent Baptist Church. Independent because the local church is supposed to govern itself. (Not a convention with troubles in some distant city.)
We are a Baptist Church because the Baptist Church through the centuries has been a standard bearer of Truth believing the Bible is the final authority for faith and practice. Unfortunately today, a lot of Baptists are either so hard that the Holy Spirit can't have a say in anything, or so compromising that they have hid their name, gave up their Bible, and forsaken their hymn books.
We have chosen to keep the Baptist name and to uphold the once worthy confession of faith..
1. By keeping the Bible as the Final Authority for Faith and Practice.
2. By keeping the Hymn books which were written from the triumphs and tragedies of great Christian lives to help our hearts.
3. By letting the Holy Spirit do his work through God's Word, in the church for the Glory of God!
Our job is not to tell what the Bible teaches. Our job is to say what the Bible says so that God the Holy Spirit will be able do His work that will truly benefit our souls.
